Wal-Mart News

Check out these exerpts from this Wal-Mart News article:

"in the next 12 months, starting with a major push this month, Wal-Mart wants to sell every one of its regular customers--100 million in all--one compact fluorescent bulb."

In the process, it may change energy consumption in the United States, and energy consciousness, too. Teaming up with General Electric, which owns about 60% of the residential lightbulb market in the United States, Wal-Mart wants to single-handedly double U.S. sales for CFLs in a year, and it wants demand to surge forward after that."

What do you think?
I´m confused! Is this a good thing? For all the horrible things Wal-Mart does and has done, is there hope that they are capable of good things?

What about Wal-Mart pushing organic foods? Is this a good thing?

hey kevin somethings i am noticing about this blog that kind of bother me are you can only edit your own post but i wish it was more like wikipedia where you can go in and edit other peoples post or add onto them instead of just commenting and also when i try to copy in info into a new blog it won't let me. and it seems it would be really useful if there was some way to message each other within this blog and not through email or comment but i don't think that is possible but yet a good idea.
