Your Thoughts About the Coblog

What is good/bad about this?

What would you like changed/modified?

Do you think you will participate?

Do you think this will work?

What else would you like it to do?

What questions do you have about it?

Feedback, feedback, feedback... I am excited about this, but that does not matter if it does not work well for others.

I really like the coblog in that we don't have to use the listserve as often, but I worry not as many people will use this- this just means we will have to tell more people about it.
I don't think I really want anything changed about it as of right now.
Of course I will participate in this, this is a great idea.
I do think this will work once people understand the reasoning behind and see that I can work.
I wish there was a better way to organize the post since there is a possibilty to have a large number of post and trying to find one may be challenging. But maybe we will just have to really use the tags in order to organize the posts.

I really like the co-blog concept. I think it will encourage discussion about issues. I think it will be much more efficient than the listserv. One drawback is trying to get people used to visiting the site, and posting to the board. I think that will come in time, as people explore and get used to the concept and framework. Good work!

Do you think you will participate?

I will participate. One thing that seems to be hard is finding the opportunity to talk about certain issues when we get together. A good deal of the time is spent getting reacquainted (which is great) and getting comfortable with each other. I think the co-blog will create an environment and ample opportunity to discuss issues, which may not have existed before (at least for me).

Do you think this will work?

I do...once people get used to the idea...and get comfortable with the medium.

What else would you like it to do?

Hmm...It would be great if it could become a one-stop shop...but it will be linked to the webpage, so that should work out fine. This might also ensure that one site isn't too overwhelming with content. I imagine you will have a lot of interconnecting links between sites to maintain connections between the various forums.

I agree with Megan on challenges presented by too many posts. I suspect there is a way to archive and organize.

I think the slide show is a nice touch. It should encourage lots of active participation too!

Hmm... music?? jukebox?? youtube?

What questions do you have about it?

Hmm...I don't have any questions yet, but I will play around some more, and try to offer more feedback. Thanks Kevin and committee for putting together this great tool! I think you are definitely on to something!
